Mine was Nemo. Somebody had made a mix video for Cradle song using clips from Nemo so I went and looked up the video and thats when I first heard Nightwish.

Sleeping Sun ver 2005... I'll never forget the feeling when I heard that song in the first time. So, I don't like the way Anette sings in this song (however I like her, I just don't like her to sing this song, but I love her Ghost Love Score ver ^^).

The first song of theirs I heard was their Phantom of the Opera cover. I'd never heard of them or any other femme metal bands when I listened to this but since then I've loved Nightwish.

I had heard a cover of Dead to the World from Netta Skog on an Accordion Festival thing. Searched the name Nightwish in Youtube and The Phantom of the Opera was the first song that was listed and the video was from their End of an Era gig. Smile

I watched a videoclip of "Nemo" on VIVA II, just after the single had been released, and I was so impressed by what I've heard that, within a short span of time, I bought all their albums.

I guess this story is the main reason why I keep frowning whenever someone rants about how degrading it is for a metal band to have its songs aired on VIVA or MTV.
