Indeed! I was just explaining to someone on Reddit that I actually like the colours and the idea of the thing in general, but the execution is just terrible. A badly lit photo and random smudges!

Haha! I've ordered the album, but I'm really worried I'm going to hate it... her other albums both grew on me massively though, so I want to give it a chance.

I'm going to buy the album, but I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about it. I didn't really like "Never Enough" as much as I hoped I would. It was kinda just okay. Maybe the rest of it will be better, but I don't know for sure till I sit and listen to it. I loved My Winter Storm and What Lies Beneath was really good too. But this seems really odd.

I'm going to buy it digitally. The two songs that have been released so far aren't too bad. I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy it physically, though...those covers. Those covers! Just...those covers.

That sums it up perfectly. Especially the blue one keeps reminding me of a smurf who's been through some horrible stuff..
Some track by track's:
Victim of Ritual
500 Letters.
They sounds promising if you ask me

I listened to some samples and thought they sounded rather awesome. I'm looking forward to this a lot more now!

So what does everyone think of the album? It's confusing for me...I'm usually one extreme or the other when it comes to albums, but I have mixed feelings here. It's a solid album, but I don't know...I just feel that something is missing and I can't quite figure out what it is...
But I will say...the two last tracks on the album are probably my favorite Tarja solo tracks to date ("Until Silence and "Medusa"). "Victim of Ritual" is not only my least favorite track on the album, but also my least favorite Tarja solo song in general. And I really wish "Into the Sun" was on the main album instead of just a digital bonus track for some super expensive deluxe edition of the album, that song is so beautiful!

I also feel very mixed about it. It definitely exceeded my expectations but I was expecting it to be awful so that wasn't too difficult! I like second half of the album quite a lot, from Mystique Voyage to Medusa. The beginning I'm not so sure about. Victim of Ritual is quite catchy but the rolling R is kind of annoying and pointless. A lot of people like 500 Letters but I'm not really getting why yet. Lucid Dreamer is just a bit weird and the lyrics don't make much sense. And Never Enough is decent until the ending goes on far too long and ruins it for me.

JEEEEZZZZ!!! You bunch of moaners, get over yourselves, I might be a bit bias but seriously, its the best album in terms of the whole unit she`s ever released. I think the one thing it hasn`t got that the other albums definitely have, is the killer single track, No underneath, but i`ll forgive her for that. 500 letters sounds like an anti stalker song, its got great hooks, and Lucid Dreamer is the best musical song. She stretches herself on it, who cares if it don`t make sense, that chorus is just perfect for singing to. After reading the comments above, I was in disbelief. As for the cover, well, i`ve seen better, but sure as hell have seen worse! What I think I like about it most is that she hasn`t gone for another overload of Ballads, IT ROCKS!!! Great Singer, Great album, and I hope for a great performance at MFVF 11 2013.

I'm not just saying negative things for the sake of it, it's only my opinion I like My Winter Storm the best as an overall album because it's cohesive, atmospheric and I like most of the songs. What Lies Beneath was a mix of good songs, meh songs and a couple of songs I really loved like Crimson Deep and Naiad. This album is another mixed one. And there will be people who absolutely love it and people who absolutely hate it because that's how music works. It's your opinion that Lucid Dreamer is great, it's my opinion that I don't like it because for me lyrics are almost more important than the music (as a writer who loves words) and therefore a song that doesn't make any sense to me isn't going to be my favourite.
Or, y'know, if you like we could all just "get over ourselves" and pretend we love it everything about it even when we don't? But then wouldn't the world be a boring place!

I agree and sometimes feel like I'm the only person who likes it the best.
