Ellen's Poems & Various Other Things

Since I'm an aspiring writer, I figured that I should post some of my stuff here to get feedback. =)

Poem that I wrote today:

Equilibrium
Stability cannnot be achieved through letting the word pass you by
Happiness cannot be reached with the worship of deities long dead
The truth cannot be revealed when you are spoon-fed bitter lies
Wealth cannot be claimed by stealing from others
Victory cannot be celebrated without celebrating defeat
Equilibrium cannot be dwelled in without being at sixes and sevens

Wow, that's really cool It's really intellegant, and the use of language is fantastic.

I was inspired to write this one after walking home in the rain... without an umbrella. XD

Storm
Water, water everywhere
Cascading from the heavens
Majestically sweeping across the land
Creating shallow streams and astrayal ponds
An amazing sight to behold
Yet many consider it to be less than amazing
God's malicious way
Of letting his anger out
By drenching us all
In downpours of cold rain
Though as I sit here
Watching this spectacle unfold
I pity those who don't know
Who can't see what beauty that water from the sky holds
How we should embrace it
Instead of shielding ourselves
From mother earth's greatest show
