| What are your thoughts on Oceanborn? For me it's my favourite! It has everything that made Nightwish Nightwish on it I love Gethsemane, Sleeping Sun and Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean. Tarja's vocal is at it's best here with a huge range. Tarja compliments the music and the music compliments Tarja. Everything is so perfect! | |

| I really like Oceanborn. It a fantastic album. But I still think and always will think that Tuomas made Nightwish , no Tarja or Anette , no Emppu or Jukka or Marco...but Tuomas. | |

| OCEANBORN I don't have enough words to describe how much I love this album. In my opinion is truly a femme metal classic. Not only my favorite NW album but also one of the best albums of all the time in my opinion. What really hooked my about it it's the whole atmosphere of it..it's just pure magic. And in my opinion this album doesn't have even 1 weak song. The Riddler, probably being my last I wouldn't like if would skip it.No,if I have to listen to OB I have to listen to it as a whole, not even one paused,I hate being disturbed while listening to it.My favorite song from it is Gethsename,a true masterpiece, the instrumantation is just breathtaking, the lyrics are Tuomas's best and really like Tarja's voice here(and honestly I'm not even a Tarja fan).I also like Devil and The Deep Dark Ocean ,one of the most atmopheric songs, and one of their heaviest pieces,Sleeping Sun,being the most beautiful NW ballad for me and Stargazers(shame they never played that one live) Sacrament Of Wilderness is a good song, but never got hooked on it until I heared Anette's version. She does really good Overall,OB is just perfect! (Sorry for the long post ) | |

| I think without much doubt OCEANBOURN is my favourite album of all time. Once is a reasonably close second. I like the heavier side of Nightwish, so Pharoh sails to Orion is pretty good for me. Sleeping Sun is awesome though. But that cover of Walking in the Air is simply stunning, Tarja holds that last note to utter perfection. It still sends tingles through my spine even now after all the years i`ve been listening to it. | |

| Oceanborn is my fav NW album. It's perfect. I love the magical atmosphere. Tarja sounds amazing. Gethsemene is also my fav song of it, and Sleeping Sun, one of the most amazing ballads ever. | |

| My second favourite NW album after Century Child. It's the most overfapped part of their discography, and rightly so - because dammit, everything about it is so perfect. The vocals, the magical atmosphere, the neoclassical undertones... no wonder most of the fanbase accepts it as their best album. Tarja's vocals are actually operatic here - that's right, folks, not psuedo-operatic like on Once and My Winter Storm - and the guitar riffs sound more pm-ish than nu-metal inspired. Talking about power metal, this is the only album of NW's alongside Wishmaster which could compete with the likes of Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Avantasia, Rhapsody, and various other ESPM bands that are generally accepted as 'True' pm.
There isn't a single bad or boring song; all killer and no filler, from the lyrically brilliant Stargazers to Sleeping Sun, which is easily one of NW's best ballads. My personal favourites are Moondance, The Pharoh Sails To Orion, Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean, and Walking In The Air.
TL;DR made short: Great album. | |

| It's an amazing album. I like the atmosphere of it, how the songs flow together, the fact that it's maybe the heaviest, most powerful album of theirs Not gonna risk saying it's my favorite since my opinions constantly change, but definitely very high up on my list. My personal favorites are Sacrament of Wilderness, The Pharaoh Sails to Orion and Stargazers. Not big on The Riddler, Swanheart (this flute pierces my ears, but maybe it's because I didn't get a remastered edition 0_o), and Sleeping Sun, but I usually listen to it as a whole anyway. Would definitely recommend it to anyone just getting into that genre, as in its uniqueness it still manages to be an easy, enjoyable, accessible listening | |

| I do love it, but I can't quite figure out why it's so many people's favourite. But then I got into Nightwish totally backwards, so I never got time to appreciate its awesomeness before I fell in love with their full on symphonic/epic sound... | |
