| How were you introduced to this band? Any funny stories or interesting comments?
I actually first heard a Within Temptation song in a Harry Potter fan video on youtube because I'm a nerd and I watch and make HPFF videos. The song used was Memories and I remember thinking that the song was okay, but the vocals were too high and got annoying. So I kind of forgot about it.
Then when I was on an Evanescence video, someone kept bringing up all of this Evanescence vs. Within Tempation/Nightwish/Lacuna Coil/Epica crap. But it was mostly Within Temptation, so I decided to check them out.
I first saw the video for Frozen in mid 2008 and I liked it quite a bit. Then, I saw the video for Memories and I absolutely loved it! Then I recalled hearing the song before and I remembered the HP video and I couldn't believe that I dismissed this song as annoying because my second listen got me obsessed. I went to a bookstore and bought The Heart Of Everything and was blown away! So this was my first symphonic femme metal band, and since then...I've found many more and its my fave genre of music all thanks to a Harry Potter video and Evanescence rants! | |

| I didn't used to be that interested in music and the bands I did listen to were generally rubbish pop rock stuff Then one day my friends at school were like "This awesome band called Within Temptation are playing nearby" and I had no idea who they were Then I was watching a music channel and What Have You Done came on... and I thought it was awesome, as it reminded me of Bring Me To Life by Evanescence which I'd loved when I was kid. So I went to the concert and it was amazing, got to meet the band afterwards and they were all really sweet! So from then on I loved them, and very soon after got into Nightwish and Epica and became a massive symphonic metal fan. | |

| I saw the video of Ice Queen on TV and thought it's a really nice song but I didn't become a real fan until I saw the video of Stand My Ground. I immediately fell in love with that song, also with the following Memories and Angels. So I decided to buy The Silent Force but unfortunately I couldn't find it, so I had to wait until the DVD release of The Silent Force Tour, which is still my favorite live DVD | |

| I heard Utopia a few years ago and honestly thought I have never heard a worse song in my life, and hated the band for a long time. Then, one evening, my friend sent me Enter, what got me hooked into their first album, but I still refused to listen to any of their later works. Then, my dad threatened to kick my ass if I don't watch Black Symphony with him - and after that I was like WTF IS THIS PERFECTION OMG I WANT TO DIE

| I was at my friends house about 4 years ago and she played a fan video for WoW or something nerdy like that, and Angels was playing in the background. Then we looked up the band and she kept playing Angels and I was just like 'Can you turn that crap off!' because I was into proper pop/rock songs at that age. She kept playing the song everytime I went to hers and eventually I looked them up at home and played Angels, got obssesed, looked up the lyrics, learnt them, then did the same For The Howling and All I Need. I listened to those three songs for about 5 months non stop. Then I went into town one day and bought The Heart of Everything, and eventually got all other four albums and then all 3 DVDs and 4 t-shirts! Saw them live In November as well! Pretty chuffed I've been a fan so long! | |

| I was looking for metal bands, in which a woman sings. Within Temptation, my beginnings, in finding a good female vocals. Prior pop rock exists only on "wikipedia" . | |

| Probably in 2006 I saw a video for the song "Angels" and already being a fan of Evanescence thought it was the coolest thing ever. Within Temptation then became my gateway into the world of female-fronted metal. | |

| I found them sometime in high school, 5-6 years ago. I was experimenting with different genres of music, trying to find something I liked, and I came across a band called Within Temptation. I loved the song Memories, but I didn't really like any of their other songs at the time. I came back to them later when I started listening to more symphonic metal, and that's when I really got into their music. | |

| I saw Mother Earth video on Scuzz years ago, it was a new video on there, wasn't played that much at first. I saw it and thought what a beautiful video. I then looked up the band and loved they're music. | |
